Visiting a new church can feel like a big step. Whether you’re exploring your faith, returning after a break, or looking for a spiritual home for your family—you are warmly, fully welcome at Union Congregational Church.

We’ve gathered everything you need to feel at ease before you walk through the door.

Worship Times

Sundays at 10:00 AM
(September through June)
Summer Worship:
Sundays at 9:30 AM
(July through the last Sunday before Labor Day)

Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month—all are welcome to participate.

What do you believe?

We are part of the United Church of Christ (UCC), a progressive Christian denomination that emphasizes justice, peace, and God’s abundant love for all people. Locally, we live that out by welcoming diversity and practicing compassion in action.

Can I join online?

Not ready to visit in person yet?
We livestream every Sunday on Facebook and YouTube, and recorded sermons are available on request.

Is the building accessible?

Our building is ADA compliant and designed to be as welcoming and accessible as possible:

Large-print bulletins and hearing assist devices available

Livestream options for those joining from home or care facilities

Let us know ahead of time if you need assistance—we’re happy to help

Where do I go when I arrive?

Head in through the big red sanctuary doors. Someone will greet you warmly—but never pressure you.

What should I wear?

Whatever feels comfortable. Some folks dress up, others come in jeans. You won’t be out of place either way.

What about children and families?

We are a church where children are seen, heard, and loved.

Sunday School (K–12): Kids start in worship with their families and head to class after a short, child-friendly message.

Nursery Care: At this time, we invite infants and toddlers to remain with their caregivers during worship. A soft space and quiet activities are available.

All our teachers and volunteers are background-checked and trained.

What happens during worship?

Our services include prayer, scripture, a message or meditation, music, and time for reflection. You’ll also find space for sharing joys and concerns, and warm hospitality throughout.

Will I have to say anything or introduce myself?

Not at all. We won’t single you out, and you’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you like.

Do I need to give money?

You’re our guest. There’s no expectation to give, especially on your first visit. If later on you feel moved to support the church’s ministry, your gift is always appreciated—but never required.

Is there coffee?

Yes! Stay for refreshments after worship—Coffee Hour in fall through spring, and Lemonade on the Lawn in summer.

Who can help me on Sunday?

Each Sunday a Deacon is on duty and wearing a name badge. Deacons are lay leaders who support the pastor and are glad to answer questions or help you get oriented.
