Funerals & Memorial Services
A sacred space to remember, honor, and grieve.
At Union Congregational Church, we believe that every life is worthy of honor and remembrance. Whether you are planning ahead or responding to a recent loss, we are here to offer compassion, comfort, and guidance during one of life’s most tender seasons.
A Christian Service of Hope
A funeral or memorial service at UCC Peterborough is both a time of remembrance and a witness to our faith: that while death brings real sorrow, it does not separate us from the love of God.
Our pastor will work with you to craft a service that honors your loved one’s life, faith, and relationships—whether they were a lifelong church member or simply someone loved by the community.
Planning a Service
We welcome inquiries from church members and non-members alike. Services may be held in our sanctuary or chapel, or off-site at a funeral home.

If you’re working with a funeral home, they will coordinate directly with the pastor and our office. If not, we will guide you through next steps and confirm details personally.

- Bulletins: We can produce a printed bulletin or work with you if you’d prefer to create your own.
- Casket: Caskets remain closed during services held in the sanctuary.
