Faith exploration for every age

At Union Congregational Church, Christian Education is about more than classes—it’s about growing together in faith, curiosity, and community. We offer opportunities for children, youth, and adults to explore the Bible, deepen their spiritual lives, and connect with one another in meaningful ways.

Our goal is not just to teach separate age groups, but to bring generations together for shared learning, conversation, and service. You’ll often see adults joining youth programs to share stories, skills, and faith-based activities. Intergenerational events—like Escape Rooms and Game Nights—build friendships and help faith feel alive and accessible.

Faith, questions, and creativity.

Sunday School

We’re using Connect, a curriculum from Sparkhouse (1517 Media) designed to help youth journey through both the Old and New Testaments.

Each week includes:
● Engaging videos
● Hands-on projects
● Thematic connections across Bible stories

Classes encourage participation, questions, and exploration in a supportive environment.

Children sit on the chancel steps during worship, laughing and reaching for bubbles while adults lead the activity, creating a joyful, intergenerational church moment.

Bible Study

We gather for online Bible Study every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom, making it easy for everyone to join from home. Together we read, reflect, and discuss scripture in an open, welcoming space.

Kids4Action

Our Kids4Action program empowers children and youth to make a difference through service and fundraising. They choose causes that matter to them and work together to support those organizations.

One of their biggest events is the annual Super Bowl Subs fundraiser, which has supported:
● Heifer Project
● End 68 Hours of Hunger
● New England K9 Search and Rescue
● Monadnock Kitty Rescue (Jaffrey)
● ColdSprings Healing Paws (New Ipswich)

These projects teach leadership, compassion, and the joy of helping others.
