Who We Are
Union Congregational Church is part of the United Church of Christ, a progressive denomination known for bold witness, inclusion, and a still-speaking God. We are proudly Open and Affirming, welcoming every person with compassion and joy—regardless of background, identity, or belief.
We are lay-led, community-rooted, and spirit-filled—trusting in God’s grace and each other as we grow in faith.
Our Roots
Founded in 1745, our congregation has been part of Peterborough’s story for nearly 300 years. We’ve worshiped in log cabins and brick churches, welcomed generations of families, and evolved from a Presbyterian-Congregational blend into an open, unified, and justice-seeking community.

Our Staff & Leadership
We are a lay-led church supported by a dedicated and caring team. Our pastor, musicians, educators, and administrative staff work closely with volunteers and church leaders to bring our ministry to life.
We also give thanks for the many volunteers and lay leaders who guide our committees, serve our mission, and shape our community.
